Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach C K Auto Repair & Brakes at (619) 266-2810; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was very nervous being a young lady coming in to get my car worked on not knowing anything about cars. I want people to know that not only was I treated with respect and kindness, but most importantly, Carlos is very trustworthy and he and his team did an excellent job on my Honda Accord. Even called me afterward to make sure that Iβm OK and the car works great and that Iβm happy. I am very, very happy π

Please please look for a better auto shop I found 200$ cheaper on what I needed fix from another auto shopβ¦β¦So I took my car to a actual dealer and they wanted to charge me a arm and a leg to change a thermostat in a 2012 car so I called C K auto Repair because I know small shops are cheaper and they are right up the street from me walking distance so I called beforehand and told them what I need replaced he gave me a price for 480 over the phone so I chose to take it to them because it was like 150$ cheaper and when I go to them and told them the issue and showed how much the dealer is charging and no need for a diagnosis he gave me a price 60$ more then the dealer I donβt speak Spanish but he did talk to his co worker first in Spanish but he knows English and after 5 minutes of conversation after I said the issue and mind you I had a lot of jewelry on and I bet that was a part of why they charged me more and he got mad at me when I showed the price of Perry ford and confronted him And said you were charging me $60 more when you told me 480 over the phone and said we are licensed just like them so we charge around the same price or more just giving a heads up deal with them at you

I'm new to this area and unfortunately wore out my break pads and disks on my Honda, so finding a trusty mechanic can be some work. As soon as I got here, Carlos greeted me, very friendly, and asked how he could assist me. Carlos was a great help and helped me with an oil change, break pads & disks. Will for sure be coming back!!

DO NOT COME HERE!!! THIEVES !!! Thought I could trust this place when I got an oil change and when I came back to get bigger jobs done I noticed that I was charged $230 for an O2 sensor thatβs ridiculous these guys make up their own prices to make sure they get paid At least 500 a visit, I noticed after the 2nd time. and they refuse to use my parts I get for way cheaperβ¦I wonder why β¦ bad customer service You can greet the guy five times and he will just look down on you with no expression seeing how much he can rip you off for. Thank you ck auto for ripping off and stealing from a family man who needs his car fixed and oh by the way check engine light came right back on 3 days after Iβm going to a real mechanic. Warning to anyone donβt use this mechanic they rip you off adding at least 200$ to parts and labor they know they are ripping families off

My neighbor recommended Carlos to me after he had a engine replaced in his truck. He said the it had been 3 years and he has had no problems, So it's been 1 year now that I Had a new 5.4L engine installed into my 2004 F150. I am so happy that I listen to my neighbor!! Carlos did a perfect install! No leaks and everything was cleaned up so when I Pop the hood to change my oil I can reach right in without gloves! I will and do recommend CK Auto to anyone who wants a honest straightforward mechanic!! Thank you
